cute story its nice to be able to read around the holiday season so y not read it for yourself
I read this all the way through and found it to be a bit dry. Not enough of the type of story I like to read at Christmas time.
Because this was written in the late 19th century I believe, the story is full of morals and good deeds that are rewarded etc. If you like that sort of thing, fine. For me, it was a bit "thick."
It seemed to end too quickly - but I loved every minute of it. Great story - old-fashioned values and joy.
Great short story.
Sweet story of Christmas yesteryear. If you watch old Christmas movies year after year, you will love this story. Cozy and warm as fuzzy slippers.
On a par with the Bobbsey Twins, but with some grimmer elements....which causes 4 stars as opposed to 3. A fine country Christmas.
